The Group’s executive directors are:
Sam Ferguson: Group CEO & President
Sam’s detailed knowledge of document solutions, business development, IT and finance together with his understanding of business process management is key to driving EDM within its sector. With decades of experience in IT and business services management he is ideally placed to understand the issues of information management which are shaping EDM’s services portfolio.
Prior to joining EDM Sam led the management buy-out of Edotech from Barclays Bank, creating a high-performance pan-European business services company with revenues of over £100M at the time of its sale. This was the start of the establishment of Sam’s reputation as a serial entrepreneur.
Driving a growth agenda, underpinned by innovation and service excellence, is Sam’s vision for EDM Group. Alongside his international industry and business expertise, Sam is also hugely experienced in the requirements of the City and investor relations, gaining the trust and support of the investment community for his business development strategies, despite the turbulent and challenging economic climate prevalent since 2008.
The Group’s expansion into the Americas is set to continue and could well extend into Europe when opportunities arise and the timing is right. Sam’s ability has been recognised by the business press, most recently with an award as Business Person of the Year.

Spencer has worked in the Business Process and Document Management industry for over 20 years.
Combining deep technical experience with entrepreneurial flair, Spencer has set up and sold technology-based businesses through a career which has also included the creation of UK and European operations for a US-based technology business.
Since EDM acquired Spencer’s BPM consultancy, as Group CTO Spencer has been pivotal in transforming EDM Group into a hybrid business services company providing consulting, technology and outsourcing services.
